The Desert - 'Distract Me'

There is a bewitching quality to the sparse, sombre electronica of Bristol based quartet 'The Desert'. Having caught the attention of taste maker Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music) the group have unveiled their latest single 'Distract me' a stark, minimalist work with a tangible atmosphere of fragility.

The single was written "about having to face up to a decision you want to avoid", and succeeds in conveying this sense of vulnerability beautifully.

Taken from an upcoming EP expected via Funnel Music later this autumn this is a group who hold a lot of promise, for their subtle yet intricate music FFO Portishead, Blonde Redhead.
