Tanners - 'Venus'
Tennessee-turned-New Yorker Tanners has struck a heavenly note with her anthemic mix of electronic-psych-popedelica. The eyes turn skywards for her new single 'Venus' which takes off delivering otherworldly electronic sounds and rocketing pop hooks to transport the listener to a cosmic realm floating somewhere between Tove Lo and Tame Impala.
The track was inspired by a trip taken by the artist to South East Asia and is a recollection of the times spent sleeping on the beach: "I got pretty good at identifying stars and planets and it kind of became my party trick. Venus was the earliest to rise and was also the brightest point in the sky, so it became my reference point throughout my trip."
Uplifting and unencumbered, this is soaring work of celestial pop.
