Patawawa - 'Fight Me'

With an infectious energy from the get go, DIY disco trio Patawawa have struck floor-filling gold in their latest offering 'Fight Me'; a vivacious, toe-tapping romp from start to finish featuring loving nods and winks to the dance music of old.

From bouncing bass guitar runs, pitch bending synth riffs, to bouts of strings that wouldn't have been out of place in The Tramps, there's a definite retro kitsch appeal to had here. However for our money the real standout element of this track is the outstanding performance of Beth Garret, whose explosive vocal performance drives the piece.
