Bloom - 'Ground'

Spring has finally sprung here in the UK, and if there's one blossom that's caught our attention it's the colorful south-coast synth sounds of  Bloom on their new single 'Ground'.

'Ground' is a melodic, carefully nurtured electro-pop seedling which grows into a towering canopy of sound with bright rays of melody permeating through. Beginning with a dense, if subtle drum rhythm 'Ground', has a very organic opening as the twiggy knocking of sticks nestles in with earthy, dry snare strikes. Soon this fertile soundscape begins to bud as floral synths light up the harmonised vocals of Emily Cluley and Megan Clifton.

Released as one half of a double A-Side with sister track 'Escape', 'Ground' was produced by Ed Chivers (Fujiya & Miyagi, AK/DK) who is currently working on Bloom’s debut album planned for release later in 2019.

'Ground' and 'Escape' are available digitally and on a limited run of 300 violet 7” vinyl copies.
