Katie Rush - 'Together'

Taken from the new album 'Stage Life', 'Together' is the latest single from NYC-based, 80's influenced experimental Alt-Pop artist Katie Rush.

Blending wonky electronics, with synthesized chamber-pop sounds, 'Together' is a quirky left-field pop track which immediately asks for the listeners attention with it's richly textured sounds and syncopated rhythms. And if, the listener does not quite get the hint the first time around, 'Together' makes a noticeably firmer request for their undivided attention with a bizarre recurring 'riff' (if that even is the right descriptor?) which would be best described as a sonic barrage of electro noise in the key of a mewling cat... Needless to say we loved it!

For a track with some pretty "out there" alternative vibes, 'Together' manages that trick of being different while having a melodic and lyrical accessibility that retains its pop appeal.  Bold, creative and impossible to ignore this is a fantastic single from Katie Rush, whose new album gets full marks from us too!
