JUNODEF - 'Heights'

We can't get enough of the richly textured post-rock offered by artsy Swedish four-piece JUNODEF (Now residing in London). The groups latest single 'Heights' manages to fuse a fascinating array of instrumentation into a composite work of gloomy progressive rock.

Within seconds of hitting play, an unassuming intro of acoustic guitar harmonics and muted electronic percussion, gives way growl of overdriven bass which underpins Karin Grönkvist's sombre vocals.

It's a big challenging sound, with an  undeniable ambition and intelligence behind it. Given time, this group could promise a new wave in forward thinking, left of center art-rock.
